Zel Technologies of Hampton, VA and its partners have been awarded a contract to compete for modeling and simulation opportunities coming out of Orlando, FL.
The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation included ZelTech among 142 companies eligible to compete for $17.5 billion in contracts over the next 10 years.
The contract award and resulting procurements could be very beneficial to ZelTech and its partners consisting of numerous large and small businesses as well as educational institutions including Old Dominion University's Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, Norfolk State University, and Hampton University.
“This award raises the bar by opening up a wide range of opportunities in the growing field of training, simulation and instrumentation … areas that are increasingly important in these times of shrinking budgets,” said Pete Towell, ZelTech’s senior manager in charge of the contract.
